Chapter One: Raspberrry Hill was a 13 year old girl who loved money, she had money flowing out of her drawer whether it be one dollar bills or change she loved it all. It was Valentines day and Raspberry was mad at her mom because she had seen her with Dr.Mitchell the night before and she ripped up her card she had got for her.
Chapter Two: Raspberrys mom drove her to school in her old car thats mirror is practically broken off and hanging off. It's a beat up cold car that windows dont roll down either. Raspberry confronted her mom and asked her why she was hanging out with Zora's dad Dr. Mitchell. Her response was "We are grown, we can do what we please".
Chapter Three: Raspberry Hill went to school and she was selling chocolate candy for 50 cents a chocolate. She had sold it to eight people at her school and 4 of them already wanted their money back cause it tasted so bad. Then Zenna a girl Raspberry sold her chocolate too demanded her money back and Raspberry said no to the Last 4 people who asked. Zenna was talking and Bam Zenna threw up all on the ground and got on Raspberrys shoes, Zenna got sent to the nurse by the principle.
Chapter four: Raspberrys principle was informed by Zenna that Raspberry had given her chocolate and their was a rumor around the school that was being said about her that she was selling poisoned chocolate. Her principle told her No more selling food in school. The next day raspberry came to school and began selling Valentines day pencils with hearts on them for 30 Cents each.
Chapter Five: Raspberry had been selling stuff at school and on her way home she pulled out her calculator to calculate her profits, Meanwhile her and her mom had been living in a Van but they are moving to an Apartment in the projects. Raspberry brought up the idea of cleaning old peoples home to Zora.
Chapter Six: Raspberry was hanging out at Satos house which is down the hill from Raspberrys new apartment that is on top of a hill, Sato is their also. Raspberry brought up the cleaning idea again and Sato snapped at Raspberry saying "Your too money hungry" Raspberry snapped and said "Your too Hungry" as she was eating cheese pizza, She later apologized. Sato works at his familys taco truck and he comes home smelling like grease and he explained how he didn't want to come home smelling like Bleach and other cleaning Chemicals.
Chapter 7: Raspberry was hanging out at Zora's house with Mai and they were still arguing about cleaning homes, Raspberry explained that the older people will pay big bucks to have people help them around their house. They got in a cheese ball fight with each other and Ms. Mitchell who is Zora's dads old wife. As she was walking out Zora threw a cheese ball and hit her in the back of the head and she walked out all mad.
Chapter 8: Raspberrys mom picked her up from school one day and handed her a letter that was from the principle that said if Raspberry continued to sell things around the school she would be suspended for the next thing she sells. Sato was riding home with Raspberry that day and Sato was telling her mom that Raspberry was in love and that she loves older men. It made Raspberrys mom chuckle as her was telling her mom lies about her.
Chapter 9: Raspberry was at school and her friend Ja'nae had got her boyfriend Ming a coat for a present. It was $200 coat that she had gotten after she had taken her grandpas $200 and she was explaining to Raspberry that she needed to make it back and soon.
Chapter 10: Raspberry was at Ja'nae and she had her grandpa take her home and everytime he takes her home he always explains to her how its rough in that part of town and how she should stay inside at night and lock her doors around there. Sato came over to Raspberry and they were talking while on the porch, Raspberrys neighbor open the window and poured water on Sato and said "Aren't you supposed be inside after dark Raspberry".
Chapter 11: Ja'nae was explaining to her grandma how they are going to be cleaning older people homes and she explained that Miss Neeta needed her house cleaned. Ja'naes grandma gave them some rubber gloves, cleaning buckets and cleaning materials. Ms. Neeta gave her and Ja'nae $50 for cleaning up her house.
Chapter 12: Raspberry of course being so money hungry she demanded half of the money and Ja'nae said im sorry I can't give you any today sorry Raspberry. Raspberry went back to Ja'naes house and she was bragging to her grandma about how they got $50. Ja'nae set it down on the table and before Raspberry knew it it was in her pocket. She left Ja'naes house with the $50 in her pocket with Ja'nae unaware.
Chapter 13: Raspberry was riding with her mom on her way to school and she told Raspberry that she had gotten another part time job and she was going to be making some more money. Raspberry was mad that she would see her mom less, she wonders when she is going to make enough money to move out of these apartments.
Chapter 14: Raspberry came to school the next day and Mai and Zora were coming up to her saying that Ja'nae had told them that she was a thief and she had taken Ja'naes money. Raspberry explained that she had earned half of the money and Ja'nae had taken the $50 for her self she explained. Ja'nae called her a thief and said she had stolen the money off the table before she left.
Chapter 15: Rasberry hill was supposed to be cleaning Ms.Neeta's house again today and she got a call that said that she had accidently paid them too much and that she would need some of the money back and she said that they could keep $10 each instead of the $50 she had given them. Raspberry wanted to say losers weepers but she said that she had to pay her electricity bill and its on hold because she gave them too much, she had no choice but to give some of her money back.
Chapter 16: Ja'nae brings up the topic of her mother because she hasn't spoken to her mother in years and she has been contacting her and she talks with her mom under the sheets at night so her grandparents don't hear. In this chapter Mai quits her job of working on the food truck because she said her parents said she didn't have to work if she didn't want too.
Chapter 17: Zora, Ja'nae and Raspberry were going to clean ms.Bakers house which is on Jade Street and Zora wasn't too interested in going to Jade street to clean a house because it's a pretty rough part of town, after they argued whether they were going or not they made it and had quite the mess to clean in the old people house.
Chapter 18: This chapter Raspberry, Zora, and Ja'nae are cleaning the house and an older man called Raspberry to come over and offered her a drink and a snack, at the end he offered her to grab in to his bag of cash, the man had a bag full of cash and he told her to grab a handful.
Chapter 19: Raspberry walks into the door after cleaning Ms.Bakers house and her mom is screaming at her, "Raspberry I can't believe it". Raspberry's mom had gotten a call from Ja'naes grandma saying that Raspberry had stolen $50 off of their dinning table and it belonged to Ja'nae. She kept telling her mother that it was a big misunderstanding.
Chapter 20: Raspberry was alone with Doctor Mitchell at her house and Raspberry doesn't usually talk with Mr.Mitchell but she just straight up asked him if he was in love with her mother, he explained how he had strong feelings for her and how he really cared about her.
Chapter 21: Raspberry and Ja'nae get in a verbal fight over the money situation. Raspberry demands she get her money back that they made at Miss Bakers or sell the jacket she had bought Ming. After Raspberry had gotten in the fight she was called greedy.
Chapter 22: On her way home from school one day she meets a man who runs the local car wash named "Odd job". He offers her to work at the car wash and she has to be quick on her feet, she liked the odd job and didn't get off til it was just about dark. She knew her mother would be mad at her for being past curfew, but she thought of how she could use the money she earned and buy pencils and double her money.
Chapter 23: After Raspberry does another day of work with their local car wash and with Odd job, she collects her money after the day and heads home. She opens the door and its pitch black, she turns the light on and there's no couch, no tv, no furniture. They're apartment had been raided, Raspberry didn't know what to do and when her mom got home they broke down into tears together.
Chapter 24: Raspberry was talking with Odd job at the car wash the day after the break in. He asked why she wasn't in school and she said she didn't want to go. He quickly knew it was a lie and demanded to know why and he said he knew a couple of the people who could of been behind it. Just as they get done she hears her name and its Dr. Mitchell yelling her name and she knows he ain't going to be happy seeing her there.
Chapter 25: Rasberry and her mother woke up and Rasberrys mom was excited because odd job had offered one of his houses for them to live in for a bit. Of course Raspberrys mom had to make some improvements to the home before they could live in it but it was their own house and all they had to do was paint the walls and the house will be coming together, Raspberry and her mother broke down into tears out front of their house, it had been all they dreamed of.
